I'm writing something about Samuel Morton, the 19th century craniographer, and autocorrect corrected a slip of my fingers to "Samuel Moron."

Which was occasion for a good giggle and a reflection on how "moron" is a good example of how eugenics and race science resonates through culture.

Political violence is not just violence against politicians. Political violence is also violence for political ends - like ramping up dehumanizing language against marginalized groups, disappearing people off the street, & calling for the release of police convicted of the murdering Black people.
