I grew up with a children's Bible which had a slightly abstract illustration in super angry colours of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Think "The Very Angry Caterpillar". This painting evokes that memory.

Anyone trying to shut down criticism of Labour by saying "Reform would be worse" is, at this point, merely helping Labour smooth Reform's path. Anyone who actually wants to stop Reform will recognise that the path to that goes through stopping this iteration of the Labour Party

I'm curious. Was his bright idea directly related to him conversing with a chatbot (who surely shouldn't encourage such simple fallacies!), or more indirectly, in that it encouraged sloppy "do you own research" behaviour and false confidence?

This is the cycle that fuels populist. It perpetuate policy failure while encouraging a narrative of scapegoating. The prime minister came to power promising to address it. Instead he now supports it.
