Not only has the Prime Minister confirmed he was aware of Mandelson's ongoing friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein before he was appointed Ambassador, it was actually flagged by official security vetting
BREAKING: “Can the PM tell us did the official security vetting he received mention Mandelson’s ongoing relationship with the paedophile Jeffrey Epstein?”

Everything connected to Mandelson must now be under suspicion? Thiel and Palantir links must be reexamined. McSweeney must be investigated for his involvement with both Mandelson and Thiel.
If Mandelson is being investigated for his Epstein connections, he must also be investigated for his Thiel connections, because they ran a joint fund when Mandelson fixed Starmer's visit to Palantir

Christopher Nolan has cast a Genovian as Penelope and a Bostonian as Odysseus. And they will be speaking English, a language that did not exist in antiquity. This whole production is pure chaos.
Forgive me, Jesus, because I genuinely deeply enjoy how perpetually unhappy and desolate these losers are.

What gets written out of the story is that this is a success of student organising. Aspiring jazz musicians caring deeply about fairness and equal access in their chosen art form? And organising to prevent someone abusing their institutional power to air grievances? Say it ain't so.

Good god. We've spent a decade with the British media - including the BBC - claiming that the 'gender critical' movement wanted to 'protect women and girls'.

And it turns out Jeffrey Epstein was funding part of it.
I'm not being facetious. Epstein was apparently giving talking points to the people pushing anti trans rhetoric in the UK.

It's been nearly 10 years, can we pls have clarity on what "Proper Brexit" means, especially if it really is just "everything we had before but we don't pay for it or extend the same rights to other members of the union".

You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test

Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs)

Good tech.

Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales)

Bad tech.

This is the large domino, with the small domino being some random quack in the UK in 1998 trying to undermine the existing MMR vaccine so his business partner can swoop in with his own. Instead he lost his work credentials and now kids are dying needlessly all over the world, so great job everyone.
Austria loses its WHO status as measles-free, too, together with Armenia, Azerbaijan Uzbekistan and Spain. This comes as no surprise, considering the rise in numbers in recent years and the decline in MMR vaccine coverage

My 7yo daughter’s best friends’ family fled the country a few weeks ago. Today she came home with a drawing of her and another friend blowing whistles at ICE agents.

“We’re blowing the whistles and so ICE will go away and our friends can come back,” she said.

I started sobbing uncontrollably.

It’s good to see the pernicious narrative that young men are the problem challenged
🚨🚨 NEW BLOGPOST 🚨🚨

The right wing should be worried about young men. Unlike Europe and the US, British young men are swinging wildly behind progressive parties. Some thoughts on why, and why most of the right are ignoring it.

One thousand times this. There’s a tidal wave of online extremism on the horizon in most countries and, much as kids need protection online, it’s not them.
On almost everything – fraud, polarisation, radicalisation, misinformation – evidence suggests that over 60s are in much more urgent need of online protection and education than teenagers.

But that issue gets zero political attention, and is a total non-starter. Nothing good will come of it.
This was a minor story on London news this morning - but suspect is a real cautionary (and alarming) tale of an older man getting radicalised online.

The NAO and Parliament need to get involved.

Protests happen, but most of what is happening in Minneapolis isn’t protesting.

More accurate terms:
- observers
- witnesses
- volunteers
- neighbors
- residents
- people
One thing that irks me: people keep calling the folks on the streets in Minneapolis protestors. They are not generally there to protest, they are there to observe and document. This is the product of organizing and mutual aid. It is telling that these acts of citizenship are seen as protest!

Starmer needs to ditch McSweeney and craft a narrative for his government that appeals to Labour’s actual potential coalition - liberal, educated, urban, Remain-coded - as opposed to chasing working class voters with Diet Reform stylings.
Entirely unsurprising that Burnham has been blocked but probably increases the chances of a post-May challenge. Rayner has used this weekend to position herself well if she wants it.
