It's been 11 months since I last posted 😬 2024 has been rough. I experienced very intense rejection from my family. Trauma I thought I had worked through resurfaced with a vengeance, & it's been a year of putting down one foot in front of the other. Still going. Still here. 👣👣👣

I took a big break from social media over the last couple of months, now I'm starting to feel ready to write again, but I'm feeling in a limbo state, and I'm unsure where to post. I can't stand the way the other site platforms hate. But this place feels like it has much less reach.

New Zealand, Israel has resumed flattening houses on top of its residents. News of numerous massacres are coming in.

We can stop this. You can stop this. We are marching this weekend. Not in our name - our govt needs to speak up. Join the protests 👇

Show your support for reproductive rights by countering the antis' annual march!
On December 2nd, anti-choice conservatives are marching to Parliament because they want abortion to be illegal again. We must stand up and show Aotearoa that Pōneke remains vigilant, and we won’t let the new government turn the clock back on our reproductive rights. Join us, 1PM, Te Aro Park.

Shout out to the PSA who have sent out a rallying call to fight the attack on workers' rights and equity with Māori. Thank goodness for the unions.

I am in my thirties. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that this new government intends to erase most of the gains Māori have made over the course of my lifetime.

As someone who has directly benefited from my union’s support, I cannot stress this enough!!!
If you don't belong to your union, join it. If you don't have one, agitate to join with an existing one. #nzpol

The incoming Government’s coalition agreements are a blueprint for slashing the public and community services New Zealanders rely on and risk setting back race relations.

Today is an excellent day to join your union.

Also a great day to get involved in community gardens with summer coming up.

We will need to support each other, more than ever.

A conspiracy theorist, a fundamentalist Christian and a libertarian fascist walk in to parliament. This isn’t a joke, it’s New Zealand’s new government.

It's almost summer, my absolute least favourite season, but for some reason I'm actually looking forward to this one. Got my first writing friday planned this week, and even though life is still incredibly hectic, I'm beginning to catch my breath 💚💃🏻

going to bed. The lesson from today is that enlightened centrists are the tip of the fascist spear. They’re the ones that say you have to entertain all viewpoints and make room for the bigot to spread his views. Treat the centrist the same way you would the nazi scoping out your bar for his friends.
