Blog update: New Order returned to number one on the 5th April 1986 indie charts with "Shellshock". It also returned them to the national top 40 after a period of absence, and featured in the "Pretty In Pink" soundtrack; however, it is still brilliantly and resolutely a New Order record.
77. New Order - Shellshock (Factory)
All the singles to top the NME Indie Charts since its launch in 1981, complete with an overview of the other music in the charts each week.

A good thing about the napkin holder is it lets you take out your preferred number of napkins so long as you want either 800 napkins or a 3cm shard of one napkin.

The phrase "Long Haired Lover From Liverpool" sounds like one of those deliberately vague trademark-dodging lines, like "From your favourite TV soap". "Sorry Little Jimmy, the Legal team say you can't use the word 'Beatle', you'll have to find a workaround"

Not saying I was in a posh part of town today but I saw a Rolls-Royce Camargue with Swiss number plates.

Nice to see the 1976 Roger Moore/Lee Marvin movie Shout at the Devil getting an advertising board at Stamford Bridge with no context beyond the title.

I knew the first photo wondering what was going on. Found the second today and it seems that Paul was just messing about to make the ladies laugh.

Factoid: I’m sure nobody needs reminding Fred Housego was the London cabby who won Mastermind.
The Honda Acty might be another story & in spite of this competition this gen would be the only one sold in the UK…

It’s basically about all the obstacles it can deal with: snow, impossible curves, deaf cows, Richard Feynedman (?) with his piano and many more 🤣🤣🤣. Oooh, a marathon too!

One of my favourite adverts from the 00s without a doubt.

I can't actually speak Spanish but nice to see an old car advert.
Yeah, Neverending Story is a superb song, but its parody in Spanish to promote a French car is even better 😎 😂 . I loved this advert in my childhood and still love it. #TOTP

It is fascinating that Robson & Jerome were the biggest pop act of 1995 and they're not exactly forgotten but you don't hear their music except on repeats and stuff. #TotP

Factoid: If you think that Sunbeam ad was Petula Clark’s only car ad then you’d very wrong.

There’s this which was undoubtedly cooler…

Imagine if you'd said in 1987 "in a few years time the singer from the Sugarcubes will be introducing Pulp on the Christmas Top Of The Pops playing one of their Top 3 singles".
