Can confirm - last year James SA Corey simply posted that they were interested in my FIRETEAM TTRPG and my sales spiked for two days.
Mentioning a product or a creator you like can have a huge impact.

Last year, an author mentioned my shop on her substack. It changed my income so drastically that this is the spike of orders from that *one* mention last year. Word of mouth for an artist can change everything.

I've had a long and brutal conversation with myself about which TTRPG is my personal favourite of all time, and I'm goiung to be honest and say it's the WEG Star Wars D6 First Edition. I got a lot of amazing games and my longest campaign from this.

You gotta practice! You don't gotta publish it, lord knows I didn't publish a fraction of the things I've made over the years, but it really helps to figure out how to walk before you run. Use tiny games to train skills and, just as importantly, to experiment with things in controlled environments.
Something I hear from a lot of new TTRPG creators: “I’ve been working on a game for a few years, now…”
Babe! Babe. Work on something smaller first, please. Make a couple smaller things first. Consider it practice. Build those skills before you put your whole ass into something.
