Die Fan Studies etablieren sich erst langsam als eigenständiges Forschungsfeld in Deutschland. Einen Einblick, welche Zugriffe diese Perspektive z.B. in der Musikforschung ermöglichen, gibt mein Überblicksartikel über Fandom bei Billie Eilish.

Das Bild zeigt ein aufgeschlagenes Buch. Kapitel 7: Fandom. Zitat: "I like it when you take control". Autorin: Svenja Reiner. Themen: Fanpraktiken, Prosuming, Fanfiction, Digitalität. Über diese Lerneinheit: Fandom galt die längste Zeit als parasoziale, potenziell gefährliche Beziehung zu einer Starperson, die v.a. junge Frauen ausbilden würden, wenn sie einen Mangel an sozialen Kontakten aufwiesen. Dieses Kapitel beleuchtet die Ursprünge dieses sexistischen Vorurteils und zeigt die emanzipatorischen Dimensionen von schambesetzten und abgewerteten Verhaltensweisen von Fans. Fandom stellt eine soziale Aktivität dar, die Einblicke in soziale Gruppendynamiken sowie gesellschaftliche, soziale, politische und kulturelle Machtstrukturen geben kann. Lernziele: Verständnis von ambivalenten Fanpraktiken: Ich sensibilisiere mich
