Typical of western news to start the story somewhere in the middle, instead of at the beginning. 1953 the USA and Britain overthrow the democratically elected Mohammad Mosaddegh. This is what led to 1979.
There's a glaring irony in this headline: the 1979 popular Islamic Revolution is when the people of Iran rose up to throw off the brutal UK-installed puppet monarchy the US and UK are now seeking to restore...

I am horrified by the murder of a woman in Minneapolis by an ICE agent.

This is what fascism looks like in real time, where a far-right government emboldens a violent death squad to terrorise communities with impunity.

Farage is suddenly a fan of the two-child benefit cap, just after Labour came out against it.

Reform policy U-turn would condemn 450,000 children into poverty.

In parliament Reform voted against worker rights.

Silence on ending corporate welfare or taxing the super rich.
Farage is suddenly a fan of the two-child benefit cap, just after Labour came out against it
Farage once attacked the two-child benefit cap. Then Labour backed scrapping it — and suddenly he’s all for keeping it. Well played Nigel!

There is no pot of money to pay your pension. Pensions are paid by the contribution of people in work today. The ratio of workers to pensioners is dropping due to the ageing population. We need 250000 immigrants per yr (as does Germany) to continue paying at the rate we do now. #immigration
