My pet peeve is to read or hear people use abbreviations or acronyms so save two dozen signs or seconds of speaking time, but as a consequence gatekeeping the message, making it hard to read or ambiguous. I'm considering to write my whole thesis without any content abbreviation because of this…

das Tern HSD ist genial, plagt aber hier und da mit Qualitätsproblemen. Bei meinem ist eine Unwucht im Tretwerk, der Teleskopsitz rutscht bei jeder Fahrt einige Mm tiefer, und beim stärkeren bremsen verdreht sich der Lenker immer etwas
