There is no god to save us from ourselves. No higher power to give us salvation. Only together can we choose to thrive with kindness, courage, and cooperation; or suffer in cruelty, suspicion, and isolation.
To my fellow white people. If you're only just now speaking out against police state violence, you need to take a moment to kindly go fuck yourself. Once you've thoroughly fucked yourself, stand up and fight this with the rest of us, because it can still get much worse from here if we don't stop it.

You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.

Iraq didn't even come to mind until someone else mentioned it. The two simply do not compare, and we compare them to our peril. If this isn't considered the beginning of WW3, it will only be because of the invasion of Ukraine. We have now assumed the same place in the world as Nazi Germany.

I'd sooner kill myself than protect a child rapist from facing justice. That so many of our elected representatives had voted to keep evidence hidden, and that even more of our fellow countrymen still continue to support them, has wrought upon me an indescribable anguish and an inescapable rage.

I want to voice that our fight is not over once Trump is gone. Fascism is an ever present threat, and must always be resisted. The MAGA movement took hold because for decades we were complacent. If we go back to that complacency, they will only come back stronger. Against safeguards we left broken.

The greatest legal scholars, someone told me that you can't get better legal scholars than these people. Really great guys, you wouldn't believe. They said Donald, they said you can't have democrats, who are really awful people, bad people. You know what they told me? Anyway, where was I again?
It's gotta be Jonathan Turley, right?

How can one join an organization run by a billionaire dedicated to gutting government programs despite the lives they'd destroy, and not realize they'd eventually be on the chopping block too? May they at least get the chance to meet their man Elon in the prison yard someday.

It's the lack of empathy that gets me the most. There's the heartache for the amount of suffering in the world, then there's the despair in realizing how many people are ok with it if it doesn't affect them. I can only hope that one day they fully recognize the rot in their hearts.
There’s a way I despise that we have to say “it will hurt you in the long run” to make people give a care. Hello? Just care even if it has nothing to do with you.

I can't shake the feeling that the government may very well collapse before this shutdown ends. Democrats have no reason to sign onto a bill that evicerates healthcare, and Republicans want this. I just hope our state governments are ready if and when it happens.

Personal accountability isn't apologizing for getting your blood on someone else's knife. Yet, we're expected to do just that when executives get massive bonuses while claiming layoffs and pay cuts are necessary. Shamed for being poor, while being robbed of the value of our labor.

Unlike Ice officers, the military personnel in our streets didn't necessarily ask to be deployed in opposition to the American people. I don't think we should antagonize them for their simple presence, but watch them and tell them that it is simply an embarrassment that they are here in uniform.

This isn't the world I wanted. It isn't the world I tried to push for. But it's the world we got. I will never stop fighting the fuckers who built it, and I will celebrate the deaths of each and every one of them until we can finally live with hope instead of fear. Fuck Charlie Kirk.

Even if the Epstein story does go away, and MAGA bends the knee, it's still worth talking about it. Every person we break out of their cult think, is one less they have. It's not going to be one thing that brings it down, but everything adding up. Eventually some straw will break the camel's back.
Even if you think the Epstein story will go away and MAGA will bend the knee, I'm not going to stop talking about it. I'm not going to HELP them. So, no need to tell me I'm wasting my time. Advocating for the survivors to get at the truth is never a waste of time. <3

He put on full display who he was from the beginning. If you're a former Trump supporter and don't feel a great deal of shame for turning a blind eye to it, you're still a monster. If you jump ship only when it hurts you, and still ignore the other harms, you don't deserve anyone's forgiveness.

This puts information about people's disabilities, mental illnesses, or any kind of potentially stigmatizing medical information in the hands of ICE. I'd say it's a red alert moment, but we're well past that stage now.

The Republican party is the party of fascism. The DNC has not only been woefully inadequate at fighting it, but has done much to enable its rise. There are allies and fighters in their ranks, sure. But we should not consider the Democratic party to be the heroes in this fight. It is we the people.
People who are incapable of hearing criticism of the Dems need to unfollow me. I do not have any allegiance to political parties especially if they are failing to reform & protect the people. I also dont believe "both sides" are the same. Clearly, Trump is a fascist threat but Dems must do better.
