I've been saying for years you can't protect yourself from the illiterate. many comic artists tell me their anxieties about feeling like they failed if their audience doesn't understand their story and I tell them they'll have an easier time by assuming their audience is failing them by not reading.
Webtoon readers, hear me when I say this and know it comes from a place of love and concern:

As a vision impaired person I would rather have ppl don't use fancy text in their posts. Alt text is nice, I recommend keeping a simple summary followed by longer explanation just so I know when it's convenient to pause or skip over details I don't want blasted from the speakers.
