RIP to Diane Keaton, who wasn't only brilliant in The First Wives Club, but hands down gave the best performance in The Godfather films and was the heart of the entire saga, I said what I said.

I'm still thinking about the way sex work is satirized in this movie. It's peak satire. Also? This movie is weirdly feminist.

I find Frank Henenlotter's work to be very queer, even it's not inherently so.

This and Brain Damage especially.

While watching Frankenhooker the other night, parts of it had me thinking of The Substance—which I could see it taking inspiration from in part. The body horror aspects especially. There are some sex worker mutants that are all boobs in some cases. 😅

Body horror and satire are such a great combo.
