Watching the Nightmare on Elm Street remake and trying to suspend disbelief that you could slap two $10 bills down on the counter at a diner and that would pay for 3 full meals + drinks + tip.

Wow, the new Conjuring movie sure starts slow. I'm 30 minutes in and its been all backstory and setup.
But I do love the aesthetic with the corded phones and the betamax camera.
Like in the previous one when Ed Warren lifts a 30 pound camcorder going this is SO LIGHT!!

It's super cool that my health insurance had a long phone tree, made me confirm my information 2x and then put me on hold for 5 minutes only to tell me their customer service dept is only open Mon-Fri.

I manage mostly younger people and the fact I can't tell them they did a good job by screaming YOU ARE CREDIT TO TEAM makes me sad daily.
I cherish every reference they actually get; like a dad who's excited his kid knows a baseball fact.
