btw the overwhelming majority of US earthquake deaths will not happen until an unknown date at some point in the next 100 years but I suspect we will see exactly the same pattern there

appreciate some data here to back up a longstanding sense that the most important ways to reduce fire deaths are:
- getting people out of old apartment buildings
- getting people out of single family homes

Unfortunately it seems that the approved locations in waterfront park are not very visible and not near to where people are spending their time. We gotta get some spots in along the waterfront path.

Food trucks & other vendors make public spaces sticky & build community.
