Finished up this delightful book nook build that spouse got me for Xmas. It was soothing blend of Lego building and puzzle making that I found extremely satisfying, promoting extreme focus and deep work that magically settled anxiety. Now I understand the "old people working on puzzles" stereotype.

Apparently Americans need to be reminded yet again that we have never suspended elections during a war. Lincoln was reelected during the Civil War (a large part of why we have absentee voting), FDR during WW2. It's never been true, and scaring folks with untrue things makes you not a good person.

I’ve already talked about a bit about Sue the T.rex. A true baddie of the Late Cretaceous.
And as I mentioned her skeleton had a ton of injuries and battle scars.
Her jaw showed multiple holes that were from a parasitic infection.

This year alone has been a dino palooza of discoveries.
With dinosaurs like Zavacephale, now the oldest known pachycephalosaur.
Joaquinraptor, a megaraptor found with a crocodilian leg in its mouth.

Call me crazy but I really don’t think we should organize society such that outcomes like this are always one election or one billionaire controlling the media away, and that people who don’t have a goal beyond “go back to X previous year” are helping
