I keep saying: “celebrity”. There’s a different set of norms when that kind of thing happens to a famous person and voters know it. People found his crude gloating shocking and off-putting in a way they weren’t used to.

It's not like I expected him to do anything except mock a tragedy, but somehow he made it even worse than I expected.

this disgraces the office. we do not and should not want a president who behaves this way.

I’ll add: Reiner was a wonderful human being. Trump knows he will never be on his level. It’s all projection. He’s a worthless sack of shit and I think deep down he knows that’s how he’ll be remembered
