The truth is Trump could not be more pleased today. Now, he suspects he has more cover for repealing, vetoing, withdrawing America from the world. Brats seeing themselves in him will troll. They don't realize they are just not as important as our baring the truth of what he has wrought

All that Trump does in the name of "America First" traces back to his closed-door dealings with Russia; it is just a matter of whether he is attempting to sell out one superpower, or two.

By the by, if it's only one superpower, We're it.
Trump's former Russia adviser says Russia offered US free rein in Venezuela in exchange for Ukraine
Russian officials suggested in 2019 that the Kremlin might reduce support for Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela in exchange for a free hand in Ukraine.

The woman killed by ICE today was a poet. She won the 2020 Academy of American Poets, University & College Poetry Prize at Old Dominion University.

(And this is Renee from confirmed socials- a photo of a different woman with red lipstick is going around, but that was a classmate.)

On the 5th Anniversary of the failed January 6th insurrection attempt, we’re reminded how fragile democracy can be. We must remember the darkness of that day so it’s never repeated. As history is rewritten by some, we choose to speak the truth of what happened.

With Sunday forecast to be in the mid-60s in Denver, every Broncos home game this regular season will have been played with a kickoff temperature of 60°F or higher. That has never happened before; the previous high for the coldest home game of a season was 49°F in 1971.

Let em fuck around and find out in a fortnight #broncos
Broncos 19, Chargers 3 — FINAL

Denver clinches the bye week against a Chargers team with mostly backups. Two mostly vanilla game plans as neither team wanted to show much, as a Bolts win next week means a rematch in a fortnight. No offensive TDs for Denver, which is 14-3.

I’m not naive about this, my formative political memories are (1) the Supreme Court handing its preferred presidential candidate an election and (2) that president doing illegal wars. But I find it pretty grim that the main lesson of American civics education is basically a joke.

Trump is a stat-padding diva on a team that's slowly letting our lead slip.

2025 comes to an end.

It’s been a strong year for deployment and innovation, but a worrying one for energy politics.

Moves like the US pause on offshore wind show how quickly progress can be undermined by polarised debate.

Here’s hoping 2026 brings calmer, more evidence-based energy policymaking.
