The Trump admin has announced sweeping measures to expand coal production on public lands. It intends to open 13.1 million acres of public land for coal leasing, significantly loosen the royalty rates that mining companies pay, and allocate large sums toward existing coal-fired power plants.

I have a beautiful memory of watching my daughter sitting patiently waiting inside the cafeteria of her school on her first day of kindergarten. I cannot imagine the grief of losing her to gunfire that day. I’m praying our Congress finds the courage to f*ing do something real about mass shootings!!!

Based on crowd-sourced records of No Kings Day event turnout, and extrapolating for the cities where we don't have data yet, it looks like roughly 4-6 million people protested Trump across the U.S. yesterday. That's nearly 2% of the U.S. pop!
