I still remember when ye happened upon the empty Reparation Convent site on Windmill Rd - nuns left in 2009ish and it's still empty. And that's just the tip of the RCC owned property lying vacant in Cork City.
This one is less than 10 minutes walk to Pana.

There’s a statue of Thomas Drummond in the atrium of Dublin City Hall with a pedestal reading “property has its duties as well as its rights”. The council and govt in general are excellent at upholding property rights and poor at enforcing property owners’ duties to the community.

I love Ireland but am always amazed at the derelict buildings peppering every little town and village yet at the same time everyone tells me that housing is so expensive. Yet next door in the UK or France this isnt a thing . What magic power does the UK or France have ?
