As a degrowth girlypop I Stan this message but the President of the United States advocating for less consumption (the basis of our economy) is insane
Trump on China: "They made a trillion dollars with Biden selling us stuff. Much of it we don't need. Somebody said, 'oh, the shelves are gonna be open.' Well, maybe the children will have two dolls instead of 30 dolls, and maybe the two dolls will cost a couple of bucks more."

Empty shelves for Christmas? Interesting ep here. Anna Wong is so objective, I love to hear her takes. #econsky

Am I the one that’s insecure, or is it his communication practices that are insecure?

If this President can jail American citizens in El Salvador no matter what the courts say, then the next one could override the J6 pardons and Presidential immunity no matter what the courts say.

That's where this leads us. Don't open Pandora's box.

An innocent man, picked up by “mistake,” must not be allowed to rot in an El Salvadorian jail.

Mr. President. Obey the courts. Obey our Constitution. Bring him home immediately.

White House threatens to VETO the new Grassley/Cantwell bill to require Congress’s approval to impose tariffs. This affirms that it will effectively require two-thirds of the House and Senate to limit (or undo) President Trump’s moves on tariffs.

This is remarkably close to what we had six days ago. The average tariff rate of most European nations was about 1%.
