How do people not see that the entire OU essay thing is just an attempt by this girl and the Turning Point chapter to turn her into another Riley Gaines grifting on trying to push trans people out of society?
Here's what this is actually about, dumbass

Really hoping today is the day all this plumbing work is done 🤞🏻

It would certainly make feeling like trash a little more bearable.

Among the provisions are ones agreeing to the Trump administration's definition of sex as "biological sex" and agreeing "not perform hormonal interventions and transgender surgeries ... on any individual under the age of 18 years old, effective immediately."

The legal, media, and academic institutions capitulating to an authoritarian ordering payments for favorable treatment are damning themselves to irrelevance. They are destroying their institutions. They will be — and should be — shunned for failing in their most basic purposes for existing.
BREAKING: Northwestern University has agreed to pay the U.S. Treasury $75 million, over the course of three years as part of an agreement with the federal government to restore funding and end investigations into the university

Aaaand now I won’t have hot water back until tomorrow at the earliest (which is really more like Wednesday since the water heater is still off while repairs are pending).

This has all been so absurd from start to finish.

I just want to be able to shower and clean things 😭

Folks, this is VERY important. This means that there will be a decrease of nurses in the field and their access to student loans will be severely restricted. There is already a serious shortage of nurses, this is only going to make it worse. Nurses are the backbone of healthcare.
Nursing has been excluded as a “professional degree” by the Trump administration as the Department of Education prepares to make massive cuts to providing students loans. Also excluded are NP’s, PA’s, PT’s. This comes when there as an extreme nursing shortage and $20K sign on bonuses for nurses. 😡

The thing about Carville's piece is that it's a perfect example of the way centrists can't write literally anything without getting in a few jabs at the left/minorities. It's entirely possible to run on "economic rage," sure. There's no need to go, "And remember what some people on Tumblr said??"

Sen. Kelly responds: "If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won't work. I've given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution."
Breaking:

Just days after Sen. Mark Kelly participated in a video asking service members to ‘refuse illegal orders,' the Pentagon now says it's opening an investigation into Kelly for "serious allegations of misconduct."

Not taking shoes off on the plane and being courteous to other passengers? Sure.

Saying it somehow “dishonors the country” and also trying to be the fashion police for what people wear when flying?

Pretty wild.

Pretty sure there are bigger issues he should be speaking to.
Duffy on his demand that air travelers not wear slippers or pajamas: "It honors our country ... don't take your shoes off and put your feet on the chair ahead of you"

Except for all the “stop talking about issues marginalized people face” advice (and the the entire premise of the piece being “out with woke”)

Which is a pretty huge caveat given Dems have been trying to find an excuse to do exactly that- especially as it relates to trans people.

Santa Fe is now the first city to tie the minimum wage to the cost of rent.

The Santa Fe City Council voted to raise its minimum wage from $15/hr to $17.50 by 2027 — but they also added another provision.

Future increases will factor in inflation, and the price of housing.

Well, let’s see if elected Democrats act like the president of the United States just called for their members to be executed.

If they just go “ho hum, back to health care” you can’t blame the media for not being more outraged than the

opposition party.
Ought to be front-page headlines.
