Love this. Simple, easy to maintain tech is safer and more sustainable. Related- EU wants to reduce screens in cars for safety. Cars, gadgets, IoT, it’s all gotten needlessly complex, causes more waste. I’ll be very interested to follow Slate Truck and see how this goes. Plus they’re in Michigan!

Mass unionization, coupled with progressive taxation! vs regressive (sales tax, flat income taxes) where lower/middle income households shoulder a relative higher burden. Taxes were MUCH higher on the wealthiest, enabling that distribution of wealth, and they’ve been clawing it back ever since.

Aaand here come the fake accounts. I just got barraged today with a bunch of follows from accounts that feel scammy. @bsky.app hope you’re looking for ways to improve filtration of bots, fake accounts, scammers, etc. as the user base grows. Fake accounts definitely devalued Twitter and Facebook.
