I don't get why some leftists are going on about "purity testing" as being a major issue. If we learned ANYTHING from the last election, isn't it that we need a politician who is responsive to their base, instead of a base that only might begrudgingly vote for the least bad option?

It is astounding that at least some liberals are so offended by people stating they won't vote for Gavin Newsom when it's 2025! He's not the dem nominee. And yet they are so convinced that any attack on him is a favor to Trump (completely ignoring how dems like Newsom helped in producing this mess).
