A friend is staying with me and described Pattycakes as a sentient cinnamon roll where everything she does looks like an inspirational kitten photo shoot, and well….that is not inaccurate.

Say hello to Ume, our endangered Malayan tapir calf, who recently turned two months old and now weighs a healthy 115 pounds! From wobbly first steps to confident little trots (and the occasional zoomie!), Ume is growing fast and thriving under the watchful eye of her mom, Yuna. 🌸

I’m saying this in my capacity as an author and once and future library worker:

Read whatever the hell you want.

I cannot impress enough on you that the “important” books aren’t important if you don’t jive with them. The popular books, the canon, the whatever. Read what you want.

If you don’t allow your kids to have internet access until they’re like 16 and then just give them a phone they’re likely going to get scammed and abused immediately. This already happens. Kids need to be actively taught digital *literacy* from a young age, that’s the problem
