Keeping a flame 🔥 of joy alive inside of us.
Photo from a previous year. Looking forward to starting seeds again; the miracle of watching them poke their tiny heads through the soil. 🌱

Many gardeners from beginner through experienced are shopping for seeds now. Jon’s thread of #easygrowing is a great idea! Adding a few of my easy to grow favorites in my comments.
Starting a thread to share #easygrowing food options for anyone looking to start gardening. Most suggestions are commonly available seeds/starts and can grow in something as simple as a bucket.

I've made five family dinners with veggies mostly provided by this thing since I started on 12/16 with *super* low expectations.

I can see how people wind up with dedicated indoor growing spaces. Not sure how far I'll go in that direction. (Lol)

Week 5 indoor greenhouse. I need to harvest, thin and pinch back. I can't believe this is working so well, and it smells so dreamy when I mess around in there because of the herbs. 🌱

I met David Hogg days after the Parkland shooting and I’ve watched him develop into the leader he is today. David is exactly the kind of person we need guiding the Democratic Party into the future and I’m proud to support his candidacy for DNC Vice Chair.

First tap and we have first sap! An auspicious sign for the sugar season for sure. Not all of the trees are running yet as it's only 35 F and we've had a bitter cold week, but they will soon. We use a combination of Red and Sugar maples, so we end up with a unique small batch syrup for Snake Hill.

Yay, my Native Plants of NC stickers are back in stock! (another top notch job from @stickerninja.bsky.social 💜💜)

And now they're in two sizes: one for your car bumper, one for your notebook, so you can easily be identified as a native plant nerd wherever you go.
