Which was great except the teeny tortie would hide under my roommate’s bed and a few times we didn’t find this out until either she woke up and started meowing surprisingly loudly for attention, or my neighbor realized she was missing and had to knock on our door at 1am.

Years ago I had a downstairs neighbor whose apartment was too small for one person, nevermind a woman and six cats. So they often went out in the hall- and they learned that they were welcome in our apartment!
