I don't know if it will actually happen but I think the thing we actually *need* from the next generation of PLs is first-class language interop, because I think we're starting to bump up against the limits of what you can do with ergonomics in general purpose programming languages

It continues to sit poorly with me that this company is advertising its "Devin" LLM product as a direct replacement for software engineers - calling it an “AI Software Engineer.”

This is sleazy marketing, targeting nontechnical CEOs and execs - suggesting they can replace devs with it.
