The government has been shut down for 40 days—the longest in history. All Democrats have fought hard for extending the Affordable Care Act tax credits that make health care affordable for millions. I’m voting against the bill given it doesn’t extend these valuable tax credits.

I find it interesting how some media refuses to say Dems won and use “ progressive.”

I tracked these races and most were plain old Dems!
It turns out that nobody will vote for you to care for their children when your leader AND HER HUSBAND get arrested for being sexual predators.

“woke” is when you acknowledge that black people have contributed to the united states
Two panels commemorating the contribution of Black American soldiers towards the liberation of the Netherlands in World War Two have been quietly removed from a cemetery in Limburg. It follows a complaint by right-wing think tank The Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission.

When the worst person you know makes a good point!
Marjorie Taylor Greene: "It's absolutely the worst political move to have the House in recess & for us to not be here working...there's a lot of disenfranchised 2024 voters & that was obvious in Tuesday's election. I'm from Georgia & we lost 2 statewide Public Commission seats & lost them heavily."

This man wants to be a dictator so bad!
Trump on President Xi: "During the meeting, he's here, and he's got about 6 people on each side. And every one of those people were at attention. And I made a comment to one of them and it got no response. And President Xi didn't let him. I said, I want my cabinet to behave like that."

I subscribe to Bolt and I'm a fan of Taniel, but I really hate this post!

Dem candidates, both progressives and moderates, won tonight. I feel like we have forgotten the Dem party is a big tent and voters elect those who speak to their constituencies. It's time to put us versus them to bed!
Seattle brings a rare ray of hope for centrists over progressives tonight, as Mayor Bruce Harrell leads Katie Wilson in the first batch of results. 53.5% to 46%.

Caution: This will shift a lot before the final result, and will be very slow.

Ann Davison, the GOP city attorney, trails huge.

From liaaa.bia on TikTok. She’s been doing a great job of documenting and communicating with her Dean. The professor seems very uninterested in addressing this.

A student on TikTok has been documenting her journey with a professor who “wrote” the anatomy textbook and it’s all a bunch of AI hallucinations.

She’s saying that, understandably, the students are doing super poorly!

These posts from @andr3wsky.bsky.social on threads (I checked to see if he also posted here but he didn't) were actually hard to read, because Black folks have said this *so* often and been argued *down* about it, reading someone say it as a 💡 feels damn near insulting. But maybe ppl will listen
