I do like how all my OCs contain different facets of myself, some more than others.

Once I realize there's personality aspects to an OC that align with my own that tends to be great as that's my gateway into getting into their heads.

I'm someone who has been fascinated with masking/ the whole notion of public and private personas ever since high school Shakespeare and as a result that tends to keep cropping up in OCs.

(and yeah re: your mention of a lack of media literacy in other people, hoooo yeah this brings to mind certain billionaires who completely missed the themes of works they claim to love and who wrote essays about their warped interpretations)

I won't lie, having watched Adventure Time as it aired I find this HILARIOUS considering I remember the "Bubblegum is a despot" vibe that existed at times.

Which admittedly is also a surface level read of a character who's so motivated by keeping her people safe she does VERY questionable things

Sidenote because I need to say this:

Media Literacy isn’t about you not liking 1 character or even the direction that character went — thats only the tiniest fraction of it — but rather understanding the themes being presented in front you & how well those themes were presented through said media

Thats why I say its not just younger gens… its older gens who don’t know how to engage with media too all the way down to Boomers. Some in legit ways VS some in ways that are detrimental towards learning, engaging, and understanding, and sadly… some that are politically and heinously done on purpose

Oh yeah. Right now our current government is being steered by far right assholes and separatists who took the time to hijack the party executive, knowing that they can use the monopoly on power to enact their unpopular agendas.

And our province has been conditioned to reflexively vote conservative.

Yep. And then you remember that there's all the people who've been living with this for decades too because systemic racism they're expected to live in

I feel blessed that said to know so many Americans who are wonderful people who have absolutely enriched my own life by being themselves.

Yeah I've heard that from family members commenting on the US and I resent it. Especially given I live in a province where if you live in the cities, there's reasonable odds you didn't vote for our terrible provincial government that acts like they'll never lose and gaslights voters on the regular.

What messes me up to think about though is u ALSO know my brain works on different wave lengths. I'd hardly call myself normal. I'm functional but not normal.

Which makes me worry sometimes that empathy is the exception and not the rule. I don't think it is but I can't help but wonder at times.

I don't dislike them but they're definitely not in the upper tier.

Oh yeah I get it. Those are on the weaker end of the crossover figures. I don't dislike them but they're definitely not as good.

You know, I can see it given those ones. (Funnily, I've yet to mess with Maverick even though I have MULTIPLES I bought to customize thanks to a Walmart pricing error XD)

GI Joe Kup is great as well. And the TMNT and Knight Rider crossover toys were TERRIFIC.

This was a good watch!

Whoever thinks collaborative is awful is clearly not on the same page as me when it comes to transforming toys.

The art's looking great! I'd say you're recovering from the hiatus quite well!

As always your stuff is great!
