Maybe we the citizens should, I don’t know, shoot back? Isn’t that what the 2nd Amendment-loving Republicans wanted us to stockpile guns for? To stop overreaching government tyrants?

Or did that all go out with the rest of the Constitution when Trumplestitzkin shat on it all?

To everyone who said the Stranger Things finale was bad: you couldn’t be more wrong. That was a damn masterclass. 10/10, will be watching again.

Watching “Stranger Things” and am flabbergasted at the WSQK idea that they’re running with, and I absolutely love it. I dreamed up a similar concept 7ish years ago that was VERY Local58 inspired but I’ll be damned if the Duffer bros nailed it.

Good morning, everyone: we’re no better than Russia now. Everything we’ve been pissed about them doing to Ukraine, we just did to Venezuela.

Reasons don’t matter - you don’t just invade and capture the leader of another country because you made yourself king of the USA.
A functioning Congress will have articles of impeachment drafted by the end of the day.

Our Congress will just go to social media to basically say “We don’t like this, but what are you gonna do?”

“In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

Merry Christmas to all, and remember: the darkness will not survive.

Prediction: we go to war with Venezuela. Bomb the absolute shit out of Caracas & “conquer” them in about 72 hrs.

We sit there for another year while militias & cartels in the jungle decimate our boys slowly, until The Orange Man leaves office/dies & hopefully someone pulls us out.

Sound familiar?

Notoriously unreliable billionaire is, shockingly, unreliable again.

Just like his vehicles.

He had previously said he was "done" with politics.

Awfully convenient for a guy who is launching an AI company (Project Prometheus) that he’s CEO of too.

Is greed no longer a reason for why people do anything? It made the list of seven original motives for a reason.
What we’re seeing with the US is a systematic self-dismantling of a Western country.

I’m baffled. Why?

Yes, Trump is a Russian agent. He has to be. But why is everyone in his government going along with this?
December 11, 2025 at 6:14 PM
Somewhere, long ago, he was taught/lead to believe that the only mark of success was business, dollars, the bottom line & “the art of the deal”. We see it in him, his kids & those around him.

Without that framework, he (and most of the US if we’re honest) have little in common with average folks.
Will someone please give this desperate fool a hug? He clearly must have been neglected or abused as a child. I'm willing to take one for the team if it means he'll get sime desperately needed therapy.

*sigh*…fine, I guess I can call Bezos, Musk, Gates, Zuck, etc “clankers” as well, if I *REALLY* have to.
I find derogatory terms for robots “clanker” unproductive because it shifts the blame to the machine (soulless, without will) away from the man siting on the yacht who reaps the spoils from the labor of the bad, unethical programming or usage of the machine.

Gonna be slipping “unknowable sandwich” into my regular conversations going forward. Along with “abstract lemonades”, you know, for the culture.
we need a new "popeyes chicken sandwich" for everyone to flip out about. it doesn't need to be made by popeye's but it needs a similar huge cultural moment attached to it. i think a chicken fried steak sandwich could do it but perhaps the next sandwich to capture the zeitgeist is unknowable
