Why is Kemi Badenoch repeating the lie that people with ADHD qualify for a Motability car? I have moderate cerebral palsy. I haven’t qualified for a Motability car since 2018. I also have ADHD. Only those on the higher rate of the Mobility Component of PIP qualify for a Motability car. #CPC25

Kemi Badenoch was spouting blatant lies today in her speech. She said that Motability cars are being given to people with ADHD If that is the case, it is because they have a mobility condition also. You don't get given these cars if ADHD is your only disability.

Today's Badenoch speech has shown the Conservatives to be living in a fantasy land - without detail, without deliverable pledges, without a clue. It was totally disqualifying, yet many commentators are welcoming it. In those circumstances UK public policy may be unsalvageable.

Reaction to Badenoch's speech is everything wrong with Britain's policymaking community. Mostly couched in terms of the politics and her survival. Nothing on the utter garbage of policies that would leave us in an even bigger mess. UK policymaking may be irredeemable.
