On the bird site I was a masked brunette.
Still very definitely masked (FFP2/3 only please), but nurturing my inner gorilla.
Gorillas like me evolved over millennia to be healthy in a world free of Covid, pollution, plastic & climate change.
My last outdoor exercise of winter, thanks to SW London’s #greentheatre

Brand new Teslas & electric SUVs everywhere - but at home the drivers are cranking up their wood burning stoves to choke local kids & runners in carcinogenic fumes

Any views on whether to go for Novavax XBB vs Pfizer? (currently JN1, maybe soon KP2)

In 🇬🇧, no sign yet of updated Novavax & the pharmacy chain with the old Novavax can no longer order more after today

This 💯⬇️

When restrictions were 1st lifted the left often spoke of continuing to mask, protecting the vulnerable etc

How long did that last?

A couple of months?

There is now zero discernible difference between L & R on Covid

I can’t think of any other major issue to which that applies?
Long Covid is of greatest risk to low-paid workers, minority communities, women. Give me a definition of what the Left cares about that explains why the Left has ignored Long Covid

Covid became an experiment in how we would react to our lives being treated as disposable—and we reacted by saying, well, so long as there's brunch...

From a pediatrician in Gaza: "When the generators fall silent, we will be relegated to practicing medieval-level medicine. Without an urgent resupply of fuel, the lights will go out permanently, and our hospital could turn into a morgue." Gift link:

Nice article on the enormity of harm inflicted in global workforces by the denial of airborne transmission:
"Prevention of COVID-19 in workers: preparation, precaution, and protection"
This article is based on a couple of the lectures I gave during the pandemic. Link is hereunder. TL;DR or if you can't access, I shall *try* to write a thread of some of the salient points...

What % of the general public grasp this?:

“People need to understand that you can get long Covid the second time, even if you dodged the bullet the first time. You can get long Covid the third time.”

I’d guess 1,2, max 3%

Does the risk of getting long Covid increase each time you get reinfected?
"It's very clear in our data that reinfection contributes additional risk of long Covid," says epidemiologist Ziyad Al-Aly.

A new study suggests that fully remote workers may produce less than half the climate-warming emissions of people who spend their days in offices.
