This is how democracies die.

Step 1: Dislike the facts.
Step 2: Attack the fact-finders.
Step 3: Replace them with loyalists.
Step 4: Control the "truth."

People is willing to buy Canadian as response to Trump’s threats. There is no “buy Canadian” without migrants. They plant, harvest, process, and package our meals. They do it under some of the worst working conditions in the country. To support Canadian food we must defend who makes it possible.

Trump’s testing the waters. If he gets away with sending Marines into California against civilians, he’ll do it in every state, including yours. And yes, that includes disarming you. Authoritarians hate an armed population.

Citizens protesting the ICE raids in Los Angeles are DANCING

Yet Donald Trump labeled them “insurrectionists” and is sending 700 Marines-on top of the 2,000 National Guard troops-to the city

This is dangerous, almost certainly illegal and by all accounts completely unnecessary

Trump is a fascist

Deploying 700 Marines on U.S. soil against the will of local leaders and law enforcement is a dangerous abuse of power. Our military is a sacred trust meant to protect the American people, not be used by President Trump and Secretary Hegseth to strike fear into Americans. (1/2)

When President Johnson activated the Nat'l Guard in Alabama in 1965 over Gov. Wallace's objection he did it to protect protesters advocating for voting rights for Black people who had previously met violence at the hands of state troopers. Very different situation.

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

Donald’s administration is talking about changing how to measure GDP, disbanded the 2030 Census Advisory Committee and the Federal Economic Statistics Advisory Committee… kinda looks authoritarian for an “elected” government… like they don’t want you to know what they do with YOUR money.

On this anniversary of #J6, it’s important for Canadians to remember that many of the very same Kremlin-boosted far-right anti-democracy forces who were the architects of #January6th, also played roles in #FluTruxKlan destabilization op to topple Trudeau’s government. #cdnpoli

Tan diferentes tan iguales.

Up to yesterday, Canada had reported more than 95 cases of measles, for this time in 2024 was a huge amount of 4. Do you imagine if we have something to prevent this, for example a vaccine? So sad we live without any preventible measures . #Sarcasm
