All but one the senior devs on my team (me) who came down with the "you will type everything extremely clearly and you will like it" were all C++. I'm with them, I just learned python first and came about it from the road of pain.

Honestly, I think really really good typing discipline helps a lot with this (since pretty much everything our team writes is in python). It's also easier to enforce really good typing discipline with Claude, etc..

I think I'm maybe just seeing the angry retweets but a whole lot of the posts by congresspeople seem really gormless. Jeffries was the worst, though. Very depressing.
