Molecular biologist Dr. Millie Hughes-Fulford died #OTD in 2021.

The Peace Cairn in Bellahouston Park in Glasgow. The cairn itself was built for the British Empire Exhibition in 1938 and features the names of organisations which attended the exhibition and that were concerned about the looming prospect of war.

Went to my local library this morning to do a bit of research for my current book project and my goodness such a life-affirming space! There was an adult being taught to read on the next table, children enjoying story time, countless people taking out books. So grateful for our libraries ❤️
