What will it take before Starmer realises that the only way to rescue this country from the pit of brexit is to begin - URGENTLY - the process of rejoining the EU.
Brexit damaged supply lines, that’s fact. Drug shortages are the result, that’s fact too. Brexiters won’t accept this because they don’t deal in facts, or evidence, or logic, or constructive debate.

Still in shock that a Labour Government thinks:

- the Tories were too generous with sickness benefits

-impoverishing us further is a 'moral duty'

- my life lacks any dignity because I don't earn

I always say that I wouldn't wish #ME #LongCovid on anyone but if they could spend just one day...

Little of this is about Labour's grim economic inheritance. We wanted a Government that would come in and make the country better. Instead we've got one which feels very much as though its only interest is itself. And it's making the country worse.

It's really not that hard. We understand that Labour had a difficult inheritance. It's more that, since taking office, Labour has (it sometimes feels deliberately) stuck its middle finger up at almost everything Labour voters care about. 🧵 www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

He doesn't care, PIP is nothing to do with being out of work, it's to cover the costs of gaining more independence with your disability and mobility. Cut PIP and you cut the ability of disabled people to get to jobs they already have! Disgusting. Reeves is the new Osborne.

No one from govt has explained how ill and disabled people who simply *can't work* are supposed to cope in deep poverty - potentially for the rest of their lives. Taking away money for essentials won't magically make them well or able bodied

PIP doesn't exist to replace working income. It exists because life as a disabled person is more expensive than life as a non-disabled person. Reduce PIP and you reduce disabled peoples' ability to do normal things, including work.
