Consider "fried fish merchant" or "man eating fish". Would a hyphen be useful here?
darrenbroom.bsky.social
I can be quite pedantic about punctuation & sentence structure, etc, but I have to admit that the differences between hyphens, en dashes & em dashes remain a mystery to me. Is this a case where it should be an en dash?

Or have I completely missed the point?

As we’re tied with 3 hours to go in this round, the orthorhombic structure of #Perovskite was discovered by Irish X-ray crystallography pioneer Helen Dick Magaw. So a vote for Perovskite is not only a vote for this amazing mineral, but also showers honor on this wonderful #WomanOfSTEM. #MinCup25

This is how I recruit faithful #Perovskite fans one by one.

Secondary-school students learn about Solid State Chemistry in my Lab at the Facultad de Química, UdelaR (Montevideo - Uruguay) and they get their own #Perovskite model gift. 🫶

Do you like things to be orderly but still a little unpredictable? Check out sessions like “Quasicrystalline, incommensurate modulated, and composite phases” or “Approximate Periodic Symmetry”, just to name a couple.
