Finally caught another plane in front of the Moon here in Cali! Had tons in Washington but here in Santa Barbara it's slim pickens! I could go places to do a little better but in WA I just had to walk across the street and I'm lazy!

Quite a few things, including lots of paychecks. The greatest though was getting to know my long lost family on social media after taking a DNA test. Me and my uncle sent a zillion messages through the years and grew close. And now I'm his caregiver!

Different line of work but the same thing happened to me and it led to 12 awesome years until retiring one year ago this month! Although I had a few other side gigs as well, I made a very good living for a long time on social media.

Pretty excited about tonight's Full Moon. One 6 minute time lapse, cut with a full speed video taken immediately after. This is my first time shooting the moon coming out from behind a building, and I want to start doing this more often incorporating friends and enemies in the windows.

Today I got up an hour before sunrise to look for a rare bird. Only-a-handful-that-look-like-this-in-the-world-now rare.

All the reports made it seem like a simple walk in the park. Literally. They all said it's in a parking lot

5hrs and 4.5 miles walking later, I captured 12 seconds of footage. 🪶
