I like computers, music, books, dogs, amateur (ham) radio, motorcycles, table top role playing games, bass guitar, photography, and other stuff. I'm currently a software developer working primarily in C#.
I so do wish we could edit posts here on Bluesky . I'm sure my click post, proof read later, Bluesky citizens would agree.

A friend is off on a Gen X rant (again). I don't know that I ever strongly identified as Gen X (though I am), and I have found over the years that stereotypes, applied too broadly, are often inaccurate. My experiences were certainly similar in some ways, but also wildly different in other ways. 1/

I've had this collection of PowerShell functions for a while. I finally decided to put it up on GitHub. It is probably only useful to me but table top role players may find it useful.

It will generate random birthdays with zodiac signs, and random height weight.

I don't know how authors do it... navigate prior art, research entire worlds, etc. Like anything, I'm sure there is a huge measure of practice makes perfect - the 10,000 hours "rule". But F me, I'm just trying to write a story for my own eyes to get it out of my head and I'm already overwhelmed.

I'm stocked on reading material for a little while. The Dead Take The A Train and Butcher Bird by @richardkadrey.bsky.social, and The Martian trilogy by Andy Weir were part of my received gifts this year.

The Christmas stress... What do you want? F'd if I know, I buy what I need throughout the year. I really don't need anything, and the things I want that I haven't already bought for myself are too expensive. All we're effectively doing is exchanging money - can we just not? Waaaahh, tradition.

It's that giving time of year again, so this is a reminder that no matter how they try to dress it up, the Salvation Army is not a charity.

Otis passed away surrounded by his family somewhere around 4:45PM today. He's been to more states than some of my friend, has often played the role of clown, and once "held court" in Bryce Canyon to a bus load of tourist. He will be missed. 4/13/2011 - 9/3/2025.

I will never understand why people pay good money for seats, and then stand the entire show ... Forcing me to also stand if I want to see anything. Buy GA if you want to stand.

Took Emmet for a walk over on the multi-use (horses, bikes, dogs) trail at #BlueMarshLake today. He said he had cabin fever and needed to get out. I think we did about 4-5 miles between Peacock and Church. #BerksCounty #Pennsylvania #DogsOfBluesky #Otterhound

Holidays with family are always "fun". Thankfully, I can be a hermit until 2-Jan now. Other than trying to catch up with some friends, who I actually want to see at least.

Happy Thanksgiving! Wish for less "interesting times".

After 4 days I'm still immensely angry, fearful of the potential future, and feeling betrayed by some of my family (including my own parents). I don't know that this video is productive, someone sent it to my husband, but it mostly summarizes my feelings right now.
