A Southern Reef Squid (Sepioteuthis australis) eating a fish it has caught. The squid is a golden yellow with brown chromatophores, and it is slightly translucent. It has a bit of green near its eye. It is looking at the camera but it is facing perpendicular to the camera. Its mantle is up at a 45 degree angle. The fish is grasped within the squids arms, and has had its head eaten a little bit already.

Day 2. Super warm and essentially anything south—south-west facing was bare. I originally wanted to look at the coin slot couloir repel but decided to ski down the "J-Slot" (the first picture) and it was pretty good but there was lots of fallen timber that was a little scary.

Skinned about 2 miles and skied some sketchy south facing trees. The snow was wacky, different on every aspect and elevation so I was very cautious and decided not to go for my original goal but still a good day.
