Drawings been kinda hard lately so instead I’ve been making mixed media poly clay guys. This one featuring a dog tooth I bought at a late night Baltimore garage sale that I gold leafed lmao
Image of a three-faced figure with arms locked around knees, grey/green with mossy crevices. A stick, a bell, and a hagstone are tied with string to a metal ring sticking out of its back. I've been working in sketchbooks more as part of a class assignment; here are some of my recent sketches 👉👈 I've been trying to draw what comes to me in the moment, and not worry too much about the output or making everything perfect, but also put time into each to make it feel 'done' as a sketch.
Graphite and white charcoal sketch on toned paper of a woman with stylized hair Graphite and white charcoal sketch on toned paper of a figure with a stylized owl headdress. The wings of the headdress cover the figure's eyes. A graphite sketch of a a face surrounded by a sphere of churning, splashing water A graphite sketch of a beared man with a sword plunging through his forehead and out his chin (in a stylized, non gory way).

Look at what we could have. look at what our tax dollars could pay for. Instead we’re paying to have ICE pepper spray directly into the air hole of a guy in an inflatable frog costume

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:
www.citizensinformation.ie/en/employmen...
Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

It was once believed that you could predict the harshness of an upcoming winter by looking at the stripes of wooly bear caterpillars. A large central brown stripe indicates a mild winter, while a small stripe means it will be harsh 🐛

Since I don't really have a good base of knowledge, a general overview would be best

Honestly either would be good

And it was explained to us that giving no advance notice to anyone who is let go is actually the compassionate way to do things so nobody has to feel anxious before they lose their job.
