A lot of discourse around the *why* of transness really does come down to “so what?” Born this way? A choice? Arousal? Dysphoria? A simple desire to just say “fuck you” to the norms? None of it matters, all of it is valid. No one is being harmed by self-determination, no matter the reason.

IMO the most egregious thing about AGP theory is how deeply FAKE the whole panic is based on the evidence.

If gendered self-arousal as a trait exists, SO WHAT? There’s no evidence linking it to any kind of bad behavior—the connection is entirely engineered by conjecture and transmisogyny!

I also just do not think that being aroused by the idea of a being a woman is a murderous arousal and the only reason for that connection is a patriarchal obsession with elevating manhood, as the fuckor and never the fuckee, as the greatest state any human can achieve.

Erotized reactions to feminization seems to exist as a psychological mechanism for some people, but this fact is fairly trivial. It has no predictive power for life outcomes or political theories or gender theory in itself, despite aggressive claims to the contrary.

It doesn’t take digging deeply to find that really there are two theories of AGP—first is that there’s a trait of erotized reactions to feminization. The second is a whole edifice of political and psychological storytelling about why the bulk of trans womanhood exists, supposedly built on the first.

Oslo University Hospital caught using trans patients' journals for research purposes:
- Without the patients' consent to participate in research
- Affecting minors
- 1700 of them
- Taking highly sensitive information from said journals
