They could have just pushed him in his wheelchair when they arrested him. Instead they dragged him away like he was a bag of rubbish. They did this to humiliate him, to diminish him, to hurt him, to dehumanise him. He has a million times the heart and soul of the thugs who did this to him.

I often think of the Irish word for the environment – comhshaol, meaning "shared life," which I think captures the interconnectedness at the heart of environmental sustainability.

The first letter is beith, meaning birch. There’s dair meaning oak, coll, meaning hazel, and so on.

The word for photography, grianghrafadóireacht, literally means to make a chart of the sun.
