Republicans in Congress are hiding their "Big Beautiful Bill" from you.

Why? Because they know it's a bad look to cut kids' school lunches just to fund tax handouts so Mark Zuckerberg can buy another island.

Many of the LA Sheriffs didn't have their gas masks on yet so the Sheriffs got gassed by LAPD

LAPD was on the radio crying about getting shot by rubber bullets by the sheriffs, so I'd say fair trade

Typical level of professional policing for Los Angeles. Waiting for CHP to join the fun.

The moral panic about “The Simpsons” in the ’90s was not unusual, writes Alan Siegel. It was part of a long tradition of culture wars waged under the pretense of politics:
‘Look, This Show’s Good. It’s Essentially Moral.’
“The Simpsons” has always been a wholesome show—even if some critics didn’t necessarily understand that.

“Americans in LA and beyond are correctly seeing the cynical rhetoric of counterterrorism – used by Trump because it worked for Bush and his successors – as bullshit meant to justify fascism.”

The Imperial Boomerang Lands in Los Angeles
As police and the National Guard escalate against anti-ICE protesters, the Department of Homeland Security bridges US violence abroad and US violence at home.

LAPD unlawfully issuing orders to press today ("MEDIA GO!"). California Penal Code 409.7 explicitly exempts journalists from dispersal orders. LAPD knows this and command staff has been trained on it.

This principle protects against authoritarian misuse of military power and preserves civilian control. Deploying troops without state approval, especially to suppress protest, is a clear violation of both legal precedent and democratic norms.

The U.S. Constitution and longstanding federal law strictly limit the use of the military to police civilians. Under the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878, active-duty military forces are prohibited from engaging in domestic law enforcement unless explicitly authorized by Congress or the Constitution.

Kidnapping people off the street, flying them to a foreign country and paying to have them locked up in a brutal prison is not just outrageous. It's criminal. Criminal on many levels. Criminal in ways from which it cannot possibly be argued the president has immunity for his behavior.

@governor.ca.gov @gavinnewsom.bsky.social I have a family member who is currently trying to apply for a pardon for a crime committed when he was 16 years old in 1999. If he doesn’t receive a pardon there’s a chance he may be detained in the coming months. Is there anything you can do to help?

I have no respect for ANY athlete that visits this White House.

You are unAmerican if you do so, as is anyone who supports or enables this administration.

Let me repeat that.

You actions are in *direct* opposition to the Declaration of Independence.

Now would be a good time to propose legislation formalizing the prevention into a law
