I highly recommend the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It has a wonderful collection of his work, as well as other exhibits. Also a nice place to stroll on the property and visit his well preserved artist studio.
I’m amazed by the number of people who have never heard of the American artist Norman Rockwell who did both of these works

I made a small contribution to the Mayor Elect Mamdani transition team. I felt it was important to do so because we don’t want our elected officials reduced to taking big dollar, influence buying, contributions from the very oligarchs we expect them to stand up to.

Nov 20 - a judge ruled Trump’s deployment was illegal. The court blocked him from sending troops into the District, with a 21 day pause for appeal.
Bottom line: the Guard shouldn’t have been in DC.

I guess it’s a good thing we were so concerned about the right to speak our opinions being outlawed by a ruling class that we guaranteed it by making it the very first amendment in our Bill of Rights when we formed the country.
