Went to the UK Games Expo over the weekend. Was even more crazy busy than last year. Played some fun games with old friends, acquired some more (my shelf space is running somewhat low) and saw some good comedy shows. Good times.

So I haven't quite yet nuked my Facebook account (it'll happen) and occasionally scroll through my feed and can't fail to notice how the bizarre AI generated videos that spring up everywhere are now authentic ads for actual products. It sort of feels like reality is collapsing on the platform.

Great Western Trail New Zealand. Of the three versions of Great Western Trail (or four if you count both editions of the base GWT) this seems the heaviest and the biggest change from the original game. Not sure that it's my favourite, but it does have the most setup and gameplay options.

Another evening, another game of Ark Nova. Whilst I generally aim to score the most points in this game, my wife's goal is generally to draw and play a wombat card. This does not mean that I am frequently victorious. Indeed I wasn't today.

First post here. If anyone followed me from Facebook, hello there. Going forward I'll try to mostly post boardgame related stuff and less about politics (since it's all fairly depressing these days), but also I may well not manage to keep to that. Guess we will see.
