Videos verified by The New York Times show Alex Jeffrey Pretti, the man federal agents shot and killed in Minneapolis on Saturday, was holding a phone, not a gun, when the agents took him to the ground and shot him. In total, at least 10 shots appear to have been fired within five seconds.

State supreme court races are some of the most important in the nation. In North Carolina and Ohio, it's the reason why state and congressional maps remain gerrymandered. Not running candidates in what could be a wave year is crazy-making.
NEWS: No one filed to challenge two conservative/Republican justices on the Nevada supreme court who are up for reelection this year. The deadline was a few days ago.
