Leaving this part way under my co-workers keyboard to scare the absolute fuck out of her 💀

The most fun thing so far was getting the musical comics back in place! I've not experienced many comics with custom made songs just for the pages, it was so fun to read along with the lyrics! We need more of that stuff these days.

I'll come clean, I'd never personally read BitF (though I've had plenty of time to get familiar now) and I'm just glad I can try and lift some of the weight of getting things back in order.

We've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to help get BitF back online and using a platform dedicated to both readers and creators! I want to thank them for being so gracious and patient with us during this! Development takes a lot of time and effort, and I'm glad just to help any way I can!

We're pleased to announce an exciting partnership! 11 Years after its final update, we're happy to announce that the legendary webcomic "Brawl in the Family" will be released from the archive. Soon over 600 comics, including the classic musical comics, will return using Comix Cleric!

Itoi & Miyamoto on not compromising over what others might think, 2011.

PEOPLE:
- Shigesato Itoi, age 62. Creator of Earthbound, editor of the Ishinomori A Link to the Past manga.
- Shigeru Miyamoto, age 58. Creator of Zelda & Mario, General Manager of Nintendo EAD.

QUOTE:
Itoi: Rather than preparing Plans B and C, you should use your time to polish up Plan A, the one you really think is good. You're the same way, aren't you, Miyamoto-san?

Miyamoto: Yes. I've never thought of alternate ideas.

Itoi: Or, you haven't ever attended a meeting where you had to pitch your presentation so that it is accepted, have you?

Miyamoto: No. I was in an environment where I made decisions myself and continually asked myself whether it was truly good or not.

Itoi: … If you're constantly worried about what so-and-so will say, the project or team will never grow. … You may think, "What will the customers say?" You may worry too much about these customers you can't see, which shrinks your idea.

Honestly, if you're not always trying to be better what's the point?

Weird how this *remains relevant*
A Tumblr post from the-modern-typewriter reading:
"How can you not be angry?"
am angry" the werewolf said. "But unlike you, don't have the luxury of showing it without being called a monster. Without someone taking it as a sign of proof thatI need to be put down like a rabid dog, that I'm just like what the stories tell you."
"But everyone gets angry...that's human."
"Up until the point when you're not human"

And the response from mckitterick:
such a wonderful metaphor for anyone Othered by society

I don't, but looking at the repo, it seems a few forks have been made with very recent updates. Maybe someone will release an updated version soon!

Also, most (all?) of the art is done by @simonwl.bsky.social, who did the art for FLOPS!

With ethical entertainment options dwindling, here's one of my picks: A Void in Reality. Technically a FATE Core AP podcast, but it's Youtube version sometimes has accompanying visuals, so it's great for playing your Switch and looking up every once in a while!
A screenshot of A Void in Reality with some art of an NPC (a finely suited man giving finger guns and a winning smile), along with the name of its first and current arc, Agatha, the episode name, Lucius, and player character portraits along the bottom

I wasn't diagnosed until I was in my 20's.

It was the biggest indicator for others to tell me to get checked for ADHD. Caffeine gives me a fast heart beat and puts my brain the fuck to sleep.

Knowing I had ADHD would have saved me so many years of "you're just not trying hard enough" in school.

before anyone asks I do in fact have adhd
The image is 2 panels in black and white. The top text reads "Hypothesis:"

The first panel shows someone drinking coffee "1. Drink Caffeine"

The second panel shows the same person fully alert, working. "awake." The image is 4 panels in black and white with the words "Results:" at the top.

The first panel is once again the person drinking coffee with the words "1. Drink Caffeine"

Panel 2: "Body awake. Mind asleep" A person sits at their desk, clearly groggy, clicking their pen and tapping the desk with the other hand.

Panel 3: "Mind awake. Body Asleep" The person is laying on the ground next to their chair.

Panel 4: "Asleep" They are asleep in bed with their cat.

Man, we just released Qwitter as our first production app earlier this year, and I have fucking blown it out of the water functionality & polish-wise with the apps I've been building the past few months. I amazed myself with the progress I was able to make in just a few days this week.
