This gets progressively funnier with every use of the term "floppy".

Sir Stephen House, the deputy commissioner of the Metropolitan police, said the tactic of going limp was a “flipping nuisance” as it required extra officers to drag protesters away.
House told a London assembly police and crime committee hearing: “We have asked them to stop being floppy. And that might seem like a silly thing to say, but when we arrest them and pick them up, they go all floppy, which is why you see four or five officers carrying them away. As a Northside resident for more than 20 years, I can attest to this. (And my house is less than a mile from the rental where Boelter was staying/police were searching.) My neighbors and I deserve better.
The fact that Northsiders were not told to shelter in place, nor were we told when the search was called off, is just endemic of how shabbily North is always treated. The idea that we don't need to know about our safety in the same way people in the suburbs do is equal parts absurd and repugnant.

It's my 8th anniversary with this guy, who likes to steal my side of the bed and then side-eye me when I tell him to move over. Happy anniversary, Eisenhower! (You still can't have my side.)

I am getting a lot of e-mails trying to sell car insurance to my dog, who died 7 years ago. I'm glad she's not here to see them. She wasn't good at identifying scams.

Today I learned that a male black swallowtail butterfly smells like Froot Loops. Other types of butterflies smell like other delicious things, like maple syrup and BBQ potato chips. So, next time you're really close to a butterfly, give it a sniff!
