If calling a state secret police agent a murderer for committing murder will lead to more murder by the state secret police, it sure seems like the problem is with the secret police
Homan: "We gotta stop the hateful rhetoric. Saying this officer is a murderer is dangerous. It's just ridiculous. It's gonna infuriate people more which means there's gonna be more incidents like this."

Woods is doing his job perfectly. He doesn’t care about the U.S. or good v evil.

It’s how he’s able to get up every morning and continue destroying the livable climate which is on track to kill billions of people.

🔥 @markruffalo.bsky.social : “I gotta be honest, I’m not feeling so great. Renee Good was murdered... stormtroopers running around terrorizing. As much as I love all this, I can’t pretend all this crazy stuff isn’t happening. We have a president who says laws don’t apply to him- this is crazy.”

That Bears game was as fun as it gets but did anyone else wonder while watching it, even just for a second, “how many more collective moments like this do we have in the US?”

PS: Caleb Williams is the truth. That throw on 4th and 8 was crazy.

Utterly shocking that the country that invaded Iraq for oil and suffered zero consequences internally or externally is doing it again.

Congress’s three favorite lines:
1. Sorry we can’t do anything, we’re in the minority
2. Sorry we can’t do anything, we need a supermajority
3. Sorry we can’t do anything, our party’s in the White House and we have to support the president

Here’s yet another poll, this time out of the U of Chicago, showing that the majority of Americans oppose expanding fossil fuel production.

Yet this is the policy recommended by @mattyglesias.bsky.social & @jessedjenkins.com due to its supposed political popularity?

Private planes make up nearly 12% of all flights.

And yet even with major air traffic control safety concerns, the DOT is planning to exclude them from its plan to order 10% cut in flights at 40 major U.S. airports.

People who can afford to charter flights will be fine. Everyone else is screwed.

… is willful ignorance with an outward facing “will you people stop being hysterical and be grown ups” posture.

Nothing is better than “born into privilege so of course bad things happen to others and not me.”

That one is 100% empathy proof.

We are an incredible species - at the same time that our intellectual scientists know how extremely dire the situation is, they’re also exceptionally stupid in assuming being honest with everyone will scare us so much that we will all give up.

Except the evidence shows the opposite.
